COVID-19 Protocols

Pick Up and Drop Off

  • Before entering and when exiting the clients home, we will sanitize our hands and use disinfectant wipes as a barrier between the handles and our hands.

  • We will use our own leashes. Please ensure that you regularly clean all harnesses, collars or any other garments used while your dog is in our care.

  • We ask, when possible, that all dogs be kept in area close to the door for pick up & drop off so it eliminates the need to enter the clients home. This could mean making adjustments to where the crate is kept, towels and buckets and any other supplies.

  • Please indicate whether you are home before we pick up your dog, so we eliminate the need to enter your home and ask that you bring your dog to us. For clients who are home please bring your pet to the dog walker’s vehicle at pick up and meet again at drop off (like a curbside pick-up/drop off)

  • For those who reside in buildings, you will be given a ten-fifteen minutes text with your walker’s time of arrival. This will give you (the owner) time to bring the dog down to the walker’s vehicle. If you are not home to bring your pet down please notify AOTP head office prior to pick-up time to discuss.

  • Please ensure that we stay 2 meters apart when answering the door at pick up and drop off.
